Credit Based Semester and Grading System has been introduced for F.Y, S.Y AND T.Y classes in UG programmes. As per the new system the examination in each paper (theory and practical) have two components – 25 percent marks for internal assessment and 75 percent marks for semester end examination. Internal assessment in theory is of 25 marks and consists of class test and overall performance of the learner. The end semester examination of each course is of 2 ½ hours duration and 75 marks.
For each course/paper there is minimum passing for internal assessment as 40% (10 out of 25 marks), for semester end examination 40% (30 out of 75 marks) and total 40% (40 out of 100 marks). A learner will be said to have passed the course if he/she passes the internal assessment and the semester examination together.
